Maureen Spencer, RN, M.Ed.
Maureen Spencer, M.Ed., R.N. is the Founder of Finding Inner Peace Yoga School and Integrative Medicine Program. She is dedicated to providing professional, quality education and services in complementary therapies. She is recognized as an Advanced Registered Yoga Teacher with the National Yoga Alliance and is the Program Director of Yoga Teacher Certification at Finding Inner Peace. She has completed yoga studies with the American Yoga College, International Yoga Studies, Integrative Yoga Therapy and Meridian Hatha Yoga Therapy.
Maureen initiated a private energy medicine practice in 1993 after completing training in Therapeutic Touch, Quantum Touch, Ear Candling, Magnified Healing and Reiki Master/Teacher. In 1997 she became certified in Vibroacoustic Sound Healing and completed training as a Clinical Aromatherapist in 2003. Maureen was first introduced to vibroacoustic healing in 1996 in a holistic center in Cape Cod. Her experience was so profound that she vowed to purchase one of these units when she opened her yoga studio. In Apri 1997 the center opened and her DreamWeaver arrived. She completed certification studies with Benedick Howard, Sacred Scientist and has conducted over 10,000 client sessions. She collaborates with Christine Heffernan, RN at the Feathers Wellness Studio in South Weymouth in training others in the use of the Cymatron Sound Tabel (a similar version of the DreamWeaver).
Maureen lectures locally and nationally on the Science of Yoga and Energy Medicine and teaches nurses and therapists Reiki Energy Healing at the New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, MA. Maureen is a founding member of the hospital's Council on Integrative Medicine and developed a Reiki policy for the Patient Care Services.
